Our team of professionals with decades of experience in education abroad is here to help you curate the best experience for you and your students.

We have been doing this for a long time. Our mother company, Gustolab Institute, was founded by Pier Alberto Merli and Steve Nussbaum in 2005 and grew under the direction of Food Systems expert Sonia Massari. During the pandemic a new director, architect Tom Rankin, came on board and was tasked with rebranding the company as the Borromini Institute. An American living in Italy for decades, Tom had previously worked as an educational travel professional and teacher with a focus on sustainable urbanism. We are blessed with an extraordinary staff and are always expanding.
